This vintage illustration is a piece of living history, carefully restored from Friedrich Anton Wilhelm Miquel's 1863 scientific publication, Annales Musei Botanici Lugduno-Batavi (Volume 1), originally held in the collections of the Missouri Botanical Garden, Peter H. Raven Library.
